We had a beautiful day and venue, Ann Dingle had prepared the barn at her home near Crewe perfectly and the sun shone almost all of the time. We had 115 guests including about 14 children. There was Nepalese curry by Phillipa and Kesab. Cakes, tea and Pimms with help from Julia, Daisy and Chris and lots of gifted cooks. Photos by Aishya and Jason. There were lots of anecdotes and memories shared by volunteers past and present. We had a raffle, sales of plants and jam and lots of generous donations. Luke had designed and printed our first proper brochure and colourful post cards to sell. We had a strong contingent of friends from INF who have worked and lived in Nepal long term and also from the UK office.

So it was a really successful day, with thanks to all who helped and who joined in the fun.

Mike gave a talk and rallying call for volunteers to continue to join us on the ear camps and to visit the new hospital after it opens next year, and also to remember us longer term by signing up to regular donations. In the barn we had a rolling slide show of pictures from past camps and Nepalese scenery and also Steve’s excellent video from an ear camp.

The garden was absolutely magnificent and many stayed to clear up at the end for which we were truly grateful!
